Day Trip to Ouzoud Waterfall

Day 1: Marrakech – Ouzoud Waterfalls – Marrakech

Your waterfall adventure begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel or riad in Marrakech, typically around 8:00 AM. The drive takes approximately 3 hours north of Marrakech, crossing the Tadla plains dotted with olive tree farms, peach and apricot orchards.

Upon arrival at the village of Ouzoud, marvel at the incredible sight of the waterfalls, where cascades tumble dramatically over 110 metres into the pools below. With your local guide, descend along winding trails shaded by olive trees and dotted with small cafes.

Stop to admire stunning viewpoints, snap memorable photos, and watch the resident Barbary macaque monkeys at play. Visit an argan oil cooperative and learn about the traditional methods of extracting this precious oil.

As you continue your hike, take the opportunity to enjoy a refreshing glass of fresh orange juice from a local stall while admiring the panoramic views of the valley. At the base of the falls, board a traditional wooden boat for a short but unforgettable ride that takes you close to the thundering cascades. Feel the cool mist on your face as you capture unique perspectives of this natural wonder.

After working up an appetite, relax at a local restaurant overlooking the waterfalls and indulge in a delicious Berber lunch featuring regional specialties. Savor the flavors while enjoying the tranquil setting and spectacular backdrop.

In the mid-afternoon, climb a series of stone steps out of the valley, taking in the final views of the Ouzoud Falls before meeting your driver for the return journey. Arrive back in Marrakech by approximately 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM with drop-off at your accommodation.
